Overview
Week one
Touch down in Kathmandu, where our friendly Projects Abroad team awaits to whisk you away to your comfortable hotel. After a comprehensive briefing about the area and your time in Nepal, embark on a captivating tour of its capital city. Uncover its ancient temples, iconic landmarks, and tantalising cuisine.
Continue your week with a deep dive into Nepali culture courtesy of language lessons, cross-cultural workshops, and food. Take part in cultural exchange, working alongside the Olgapuri community. Attend workshops, engage in conversations, and gather valuable knowledge from your Nepali peers. Explore how the community is tackling social and environmental issues such as gender inequality and climate change.
Conclude with a journey to Pokhara, a scenic city in the Himalayan Mountains. Explore the scenic Phewa Lake. Then, feel on top of the world as you spend your final day of week one hiking up to the Sarangkot Hill viewpoint, where you will soak up the sunrise over the Annapurna mountain range.
Week two
Arrive at the buffer zone of the Chitwan National Park, a biodiversity hotspot, and home to the endangered One-horned Rhino. Learn more about the region’s conservation goals before contributing to vital research and protection efforts.
Gain insights into the importance of global partnerships as you’re introduced to our work with the Community Forest Authority and National Trust for Nature Conservation. Explore how they are working with local communities to manage human-wildlife conflicts.
Head back to Kathmandu on Day 12, where you’ll have time to reflect on your time in Nepal. Here, you can consider how to incorporate environmental stewardship into your daily life as you participate in a reflective workshop.
Finish your trip with a hike to Nagarkot, a hilltop village perched high in the Himalayas with panoramic views. Your last evening will include a dinner, with plenty of time to share stories from your unforgettable time in Nepal.
Pack your bags before we take you back to the airport. It’s time to go home. Take a little piece of Nepal with you, along with that newfound confidence.
