Planning your adventure shouldn’t be stressful! At Projects Abroad, we understand that life throws curveballs and your plans might change.

That’s why we offer a Risk-Free Booking Guarantee so you can book your trip with confidence and peace of mind.

It’s all part of our hassle-free approach.

1. Unlimited free changes

Life happens, and your plans might need to adjust. Don’t worry! Make unlimited changes to your programme dates, duration, project, or even destination, entirely free of charge. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

2. Extended credit

If unforeseen circumstances require you to cancel your programme before departure, you won’t lose your money. We’ll issue extended credit for the full programme fee, allowing you to choose another Projects Abroad programme within 24 months.

Prefer a cash refund instead? Depending on when you cancel, you may be entitled to a partial or full refund. See our cancellation policy below.

3. Full refund options

In the unlikely event that we cancel your programme or cannot place you on your chosen programme, our first step is always to find you the nearest possible equivalent—a similar project, in a comparable destination, on dates that work for you, at your original price.

Within our control | Programme cancelled or unavailable for operational reasons

If we cancel or cannot deliver your programme for reasons within our control, we will:

Offer you the nearest possible equivalent programme in a comparable destination, on your original dates, at your original price.
If no alternative works for you, we will provide a full cash refund—no questions asked.

You’ll also receive a full refund if you cancel within five days of booking.

Force Majeure | Programme cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control

Where a programme is cancelled due to a Force Majeure event, such as war, a pandemic, natural disaster, or government travel restriction, this is not considered a failure by Projects Abroad to provide services. In these circumstances, we will:

First, offer the nearest possible equivalent – same project type, same dates, same price. With 25+ destinations worldwide, we can almost always find a great alternative.
Where no suitable alternative is available or accepted, issue a 24-month extended credit with your programme fee frozen at the original price.

A cash refund is not available for Force Majeure cancellations except where required by applicable consumer law. See our Terms and Conditions for full details.

4. Transparent cancellation policy

For cancellations initiated by you, we offer tiered refunds based on the notice provided:

Within 5 days of booking: Full refund

3+ months before start date: Full refund minus non-refundable deposit

2–3 months before start date: 66% of programme fee

1–2 months before start date: 33% of programme fee

Less than 1 month before start date: No refund

Effective from 9 April 2026.
Doesn’t apply to Study Abroad or Group trip bookings.
While unlimited free changes are available, these are permitted within 24 months of your original start date. For programmes using Extended Credit, date changes are permitted only within the 24-month credit validity period. Standard cancellation terms apply beyond either period.
Extended Credit applies only to programme cancellations before departure. For date changes after departure, please refer to our standard change policy.
