Coaching Sports in the South Pacific
Volunteers with a passion for sports and who enjoy working with children and teenagers are welcome to join one of our Sports coaching projects in the South Pacific. You have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of local children, by creating a positive environment for them to learn the importance of teamwork and develop their skills. These placements are ideal for university students, those on a gap year or professionals on a career break.
Sports Volunteering in the South Pacific - What Is It Like?
Volunteers can teach physical education and coach a variety of sports, including rugby, football, cricket, basketball and athletics. You also have the chance to work with the Samoa Rugby Union, and assist with the community outreach work by coaching children in rugby and physical education.
Sports placements in the South Pacific are an excellent way to develop personal leadership skills, pass on your passion for sport to children, and nurture the talent of the next generation, all the while experiencing life in this beautiful island region.
You don’t need any prior experience to join one of our volunteer Sports coaching programmes; energy, dedication and an open-mind are all that we require!
